Halloween

'Twas the night before NaNoWriMo began, and all was quiet as a space cat... (In space, no-one can hear you meow...)

Yes, it's Halloween, and I for one am very frightened. I should have spent time today working on my plot outline, but as usual I am leaving everything until the last minute. As it is, I'm not happy with what I have. Working on motivations and causes and effects is, well, hard. And I seem to have just a bunch of stuff happening and people making decisions, without any of it being inter-related in any kind of satisfactory way.

I hope that the few people who might read this realise that my novel is going to be really rubbish...

With any luck, once I start writing tomorrow, I should have a short, introductory chapter completed and posted by the end of the day.

Map

Some inspiration taken from the London A-to-Z.

Obviously not comprehensive. I'm going to get a five year old to re-draft it. They'll probably have better colouring skills...

Anyway, hopefully you won't need to refer to it, but you may find it interesting.

Site Prettied Up

I think I've got all the settings right now. May be some I've forgotten.

The image in the header is this electron microscope image of a butterfly's tongue. No, wait, actually it's a moth's tongue. Why the page title is 'Butterfly tongue', I don't know.

Pre-Prologue

This is where my NaNoWriMo novel, The Skeleton God in Oil Paint, will be appearing, chapter by chapter, throughout the month of November.

Expect some image posts before then. Possibly also posts to the tune of "Oh crap there's no way I can do this why have I chosen to humiliate myself in public like this?!"
